Adolescent and Young People Counselling
Sessions are offered weekly, either online or in person, and last 50 minutes at a time that works for you.
They are client-led and person-centred, grounded in the belief that every young person is the expert on their own life. My role is to offer a safe, supportive space where you can reflect on your thoughts and feelings without judgment.
Adolescents are still learning how to navigate big emotions. Young people are discovering who they are as they move towards adulthood. Counselling offers space to explore, make sense of what you're going through, and feel supported by a trained mental health professional.
Sessions may involve elements of creative play, art, or drama therapy, mindfulness and meditation, based on what feels most natural to you. We can work together short-term or long-term, depending on what’s most helpful.
In the early sessions, we’ll take time to explore what you’d like to gain from therapy and how we can work towards it together. Having a focus can offer direction and help you understand what's affecting you most deeply.
My aim is to create a trusting, accepting relationship where you feel heard and supported every step of the way.
Please note: Sessions for children under 16 are usually held in person.
